The band was formed in the year of 2006. as a project which included several renowned Croatian metal artists who already had an extensive stage and studio experience. The original name of the project was ''This Mortal Coil'', which was followed by ''Deadweight Loss'', but after a few performances taken together, they decided to turn the project into a "real" band and tend to devote it their imagination, creative ideas, energy and passion for extreme music.

Considering their lyrics, band iconography and their life philosophy they all agreed upon the name ''MASS HYPNOSIS''. "We are inspired by, unfortunately, bad vibe in the world. Just look at the daily news, only disturbing reports, movies are full of death, murders, drugs, incest... The media give us access to piles of information that is filtered through one's personal, political and other interests, they serve us reality shows that have nothing to do with real life and put upon insubstantial standards that have nothing to do with common sense, and in the end it all creates a general atmosphere of insecurity, fear, hysteria, consumerism ... so we are trying to express our disapproval through our music. This is all just a big fairytale, starting from religion to politics - in fact it is the same thing. People do not understand it, and what is worse, do not even try to think about it. Almost every family has a TV as a small altar which is placed in the main room where everyone gathers in the evening, and instead of communicating with each other, they just stare at the TV. This is a disaster, and it is like that for most of the people on Earth. Most of the people act in the way that is shown on TV, heard over the radio and read in some magazine, and are not aware of another reality."

After countless rehearsal sessions they finally started recording their first album. DISIN4MATION was recorded 2008./ '09. at R&T, Soundcage, Nova and Meisterwerk studios in Zagreb, Croatia, produced & mastered by Igormaister Malecic, co-produced/mastered by Leo Boljesic. The album itself is a cocktail of new and fresh melodic metal/core music in interaction with old school brutal/death metal NY hardcore and even industrial sound.

"People will start waking up when something really shakes them. We can not say that we are now aware of everything wrong, but at least we are trying to learn and understand some things which are usually taken for granted. This is not an attempt to lecture or educate, but we would be thrilled if our music would encourage one or two listeners to think about their lives, hopes and dreams and what are the barriers that's stopping them to reach accomplishment. It's all under their nose, but they don't get it. The new world order is here. It is happening right now, the most important world politicians are talking about it and most of the people are disinterested about it, like it is not their concern. It could be ugly if we do not change soon. We'll just have to wait and see what will happen."
